It didn't say in jail, it said 7.3 millions incarcerated or on probation or parole, which is fairly significantly different. Most recent statistic I could find (on Wikipedia, I did not drill down to their source) was about 0.75% actually in

Faster is not even the most relevant reason why one should (and would) choose 0 == flag. edit http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2082165 hit on it perfectly.

Man, I don't know what any of those games do, but "Off-Road Velociraptor Safari" and "Time Donkey" sound amazing. I don't own a Mac, however. Off to your page to read about your company!

Is there some sort of context missing to go along with this? It's an interesting enough site, but I don't get it completely.

Out of curiosity, did you consider skipping the signup requirement/process? Instead, just having a user put in their e-mail address as the only step? Then it might work like this: 1) user enters email 2) you send daily "What have you done"

That's really neat. Is the CSS file readily available (for others to use), or something you'd prefer not to give out? (I realize I could probably crawl through the source on your page and just take it, but that seems rude without asking.)

Start the cultural revolution yourself. The learning exercise alone is invaluable, and you might learn a lot just setting up, or building your own, testing infrastructure.

I'm not sure if anyone else encountered it, but I got a 404 when clicking the submission link. I was able to find the article here: http://progfu.com/testing/testing-is-waste-of-time/

This submission's title could have done without the editorializing. The article touched briefly on the actions of the cops themselves, in a few places, but focused far more on the systematic issues as a whole, related to the prosecution of

I echo your tastes, probably. I bounce around from The Prodigy to Nine Inch Nails to A Tribe Called Quest, to Tool or Rage Against the Machine. And I find listening to music of any kind helps me fall into zone-coding a lot faster.

I suspect it's a worldwide thing (America, too) that many people will say things they would be advised not to say, without counsel present.

I suspect strcat and strcpy were parameterized as such to match memcpy. Why memcpy was parameterized in that order, I am not certain.

I don't own an iPhone (or even a smartphone) but this looks really fun, and something I would purchase and actually play. I watched about 3/4ths of the demo video but wasn't able to ascertain if problems can have multiple correct "paths" or

I liked (and remembered) when you posted the comment. I like the blog post as well. It's a great mentality to live by but the level of discipline to stick with that mentality must be a real challenge. And discipline is already a major la

The NFL is (currently) the exact opposite of what you describe. Draftees entering the league right now earn disproportionately higher amounts than many veterans, and it is a major point of contention in the upcoming CBA bargaining.
