I think the fallacy of this article is that there really isn't a mutually exclusive choice, or "crossroads" as TechCrunch calls it. SV/Palo Alto tends to be centered on the hardcore science, such as hacking file systems and search algorithm

To me, why not just use IPC Linea Pro? http://www.ipclineapro.com/ It works with iOS, provides a ruggedized housing and extra battery, comes with a barcode scanner, and encrypts your credit card number, and has a toolkit already for use w

AirBnB is a great program, clever and cheeky (real people), but the one thing that they'll always have to reckon with is that they have no rewards program. This might change in the future, but people are incentivized by rewards. I travel r

I actually prefer source code revision system more than wiki. Wikis are chaos. People can still fork your code, and submit pull requests. Moderation is still required.

I applaud what you're trying to do, but it may be a tad idealistic. The US is filled with legacy code, and there are lots of vested interests in keeping it the complicated way. As programmers we are trained to be purely logical, but polit

It's simplistic to think that "it's your own fault if you're poor" which is what tjic is implying. I was irritated by the above post because I don't think the above poster has really been poor before. When you're 13 years old, with no home,
