I was thinking that opening X up to more free speech could actually work against people who post hateful things, more than if they didn't. If by law they have to report such things, that is. That's where things get uneven quickly.

It should be about rights, and defending people's rights. Not sure what happened if I look at my own country, and a few countries I've lived in. There seems to be more of a herd mentality. Stick to the herd if you want to be safe.

Aliens are the kind of thing that: 1. Wouldn't suddenly appear recently. On the human timeline, I'd say if they were around, we'd be neighbors. 2. If they did suddenly appear, it would be as obvious as the earth is round.

Nim is another alternative. Fast to write and excellent performance. Needs a bigger community though.

OK, skipping meals isn't that unhealthy in my opinion. In fact, what you describe is a little bit like the Warrior Diet.

I'm not surprised, GPT-4 really is very good, you just have to prompt it well enough. Often you don't even have to be a prompt guru.

What about an LLM writing an algorithm than can play Sudoku? We build things that we ourselves can't do all the time. Edit: I updated my sentence to "an LLM writing an algorithm" to make myself clearer. After reading my own s

LLMs can write a plan, and they can write about their reasoning. The question is, are they good enough? We may need another generation of LLMs that are more competent.

Try: - Increasing protein and vegetables. - Decreasing chocolate and other sugary snacks. - Exercising on a regular basis.

I'd say your body can fully utilize your lunch, because it needs those nutrients and you're in a depleted state just before you have it. If you want to, you could try a small, but protein heavy/carb light breakfast. That can

That's a very good point. Product pages should be accurate and representative about the exact product being sold. If sellers don't carefully review and edit what the generative AI produces, that could make for some very unhappy bu

Nvidia have great hardware. If anyone can beat them, fine, but this seems unlikely. Groq looks cool though (thanks to the one that linked to their video). I'm wondering if the entry-level chips can really ever compete though, since LLM

Agreed, there isn't unlimited time to perform testing. Sometimes you also know when you're writing tests that will never help find a bug, and that's a waste of time. I always focus on integration testing. If I have time I

Sorry I should have clarified, I meant no fruit, vegetables or salad. Sounds like terrible advice. But as you say, there should be a threshold you don't want to cross with antioxidants, and supplements can easily do that.

Does this mean that people undergoing chemo shouldn't have any supplements at all? Lutein, for example, is a strong antioxidant but also has anti-cancer properties. Edit: thanks for the replies!

You have two fields: full name and the name you want to be addressed by (e.g. in an email). This should cover the requirements of 99% of apps. You can add another field if really needed.

I think this is premature. Google is still a huge force in tech. Google search, GMail, DeepMind and more are huge and aren't going anywhere. I have the same experience as PurpleRamen, I truely don't see the decrease in search qual

I think the GP was saying that it should scale without breaking. It can get slow, fine, that's a different challenge. But it shouldn't segfault (as an example).

Are you using GPT-4? If not, it's understandable. If you don't pay for ChatGPT, you get GPT-3.5. You can also get access to GPT-4 if you use the playground.

Right now I'd say what's missing is sufficient time to build complex systems with LLMs, that will be AGIs with various features and components. We'll need to benchmark them as is currently done with LLMs. It's just a mat

Agreed. Learning is one of AI's stronger points. You can get examples and explanations for code that's seemingly non-existent according to Google.
