Well someone woke up while sleeping at the wheel. My concern is that The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has no real business to be evaluating national security issues.

Except they're not claiming 'breach' they're claiming 'scraping'. Not sure semantic acrobatics is going to fly with the regulator however.

Well I guess we could have solved the rural Internet access problem at the same time as the pandemic but no. Big corporations and governments colluded to prevent that happening. Yes. Sarcasm.

Good and welcome progress - eventually I hope there will be better interop between .NET and Java platforms. Meanwhile most Microsoft shops view any non-MS technology as if it were a plague.

I've been working with Reify (www.reify.com) - not as well heard of in the HN community but comes from a company with decent background (www.smartclient.com).

There's gotta now be way too many serialisation formats. Each one claiming similar things to others. What would be helpful is a concrete example showing what was tried with an existing approach that fell short. I mean code, benchmarks

Ridiculous. If you are gonna have a webcam for this then why not make it automatically mark you as away if you step away from your desk rather than warn your supervisor that you did not click ‘break mode’ first. Stupid.

Some of the touristy parts of London used to have (pre-pandemic) all you can eat buffets for around £5. I’m not stupid - there’s no way good quality food can be provided at that price point so I always stayed away. Few years ago I watched s

Congratulations to Alex and the team. SCIM-based sync is exciting - not least because I've had to deal with this for my current customer (Azure AD + external cloud vendor's service). I think this might seem boring to most of the

I dunno, surviving the isolation of lockdown from COVID-19 is challenging enough (as those who have had to live through strict lockdowns can confirm). Humans need more than water and food.
