The official FB app for Android asked me if I wanted to sync my friends list with my phone address book and I said No. I would like to think this means they didn't scan my phone's address book, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Have you seen Mark Thomas "My life in serious organised crime" (DVD and Radio)? I highly recommend it if you know the UK at all. In it, he talks about "playing" with the law. There was a law in the UK saying all protests within a zone (roug

Interesting, but the hard part of this is really knowing what is and isn't important. For instance, in the article he talks about how he "has" to publish his reading list at the start of the summer and how he puts it off a couple of months

Also tackling the same problem is http://flattr.com/ , which is still going.

I don't have a mac, but nice idea :-) Feedback: Key mode 1 or 2? Whatever happened to nice labels that don't require looking up in a manual, like "hold" and "toggle"?

Some folk jumping to conclusions in the comments here ... The linked message is one post on an internal mailing list. It was intended as a summary of the votes, for the voters. It has no broader context of the situation they face or no link

Cool, never used hg, thanks. Git might have a module; I've never seen it if it does. However, having it separate to git means we can pull in other data to build up a complete picture of the users activity - the comments made in an issue tra

Ahh, sorry, I wasn't familiar with the shortlog command. I still want to be able to pick out patterns in the data tho. Getting the data out is only half the battle, then you have to be able to pick out something interesting in it. If you se

But then it's just a list of dates and its hard to see any patterns - that was my motivation ... I wanted graphs, iCal data you can put on a calendar and so on.

+1 IETester better than nothing and a decent fallback, but running the actual IE's better than IETEster.

I've found IEtester to be really keen to cache code, to the point of having to clear cache's in settings sometimes - clearly not great for development.
