For future reference to add just about anything manually to your google now, you can google search them from any synced chrome. When I'm planning a trip I do it on my desktop and it automatically appears on my phone.

It's also great if you treat it like an intelligent twitter and follow science and tech people. Also party mode on events is killer.

I think the invite only beta hurt it more. I got in from a random redditor, but no one else I knew was in it, so I played with it for 5 minutes and then forgot about it.

Not mine. Everyone right up to Senior Director are embedded with the teams. The only exceptions that get an office and door is HR and Legal. When the CTO comes to our office, he also sits with us.

I think this move will really solidify the reality anyone thinking about kick starting something, you're not an investor, all you get for your donation is the possibility of receiving the items in the sidebar at the level you donated,

In my experience the bad manager will try to sell to their superiors and HR that these were bad apples, they may have done good work but they were toxic to the rest of the team(s). It worked for a while, but it eventually catches up, unfort

Big companies generally have big legacy code bases they have to support and departments that want stuff done but have little stomach for working things from the ground up and don't care about what technologies you're working with.

I've built a suite of useful shortcuts that only work with my vimrc, which isn't a problem since installing my config from my github repo is a 3 step process, but when I'm running in some "vim-mode" editor I find my

Don't feel bad, there's nothing worse (for editing) than using a half baked version of vim in another editor. The best of implementations will leave you with an uncanny valley feeling of disgust. I'd rather use a non-modal ed

It's not like it is some foreign psychedelic experience, you're just slower and less focused. With experience that's probably mitigated as well. I suspect if weed didn't affect my motivation so much it would be fine but

When I was in a call centre (10 years ago) they would log all calls regardless of origin and us telemonkies had no control over it. I don't know how long they were stored though, I imagine they were purged on a regular basis.

You can't really trust bookmarks either. Most of my bookmarks are dead either because the site is now gone or because some blog author decided to change their path format and didn't bother setup 301 redirects.
