Thanks for the offer, but I decided to keep this a closed source one man project for the time being. This way I can go at my own speed.

I have the impression that Japan is the center of trainspotting worldwide. When I lived there, I often went hiking with a Japanese friend who would often ask me if it was a problem to make a little detour, because at station X there is curr

It is quite bad, but not that long ago the blur of css box-shadow was different between browsers, too. I wrote a little workaround that rendered a blurred rectangle on a canvas and then picked the alpha value at a certain point to calculate

My parents rented land on which there was a smaller oil rig. The rig was eventually removed and now the land is used for farming. OTOH I cannot image how they want to do this with the conrete foundations of wind turbines. The newer ones are

In Japanese there are two words for some numbers. For example number 4 is yon or shi and for 7 it is shichi or nana. For announcements on train platforms they do not use shichi, because it sounds like "ichi", which is the word for

I do not understand why IKEA makes it so hard to attach a FÖRNUFTIG purifier to a wall or under a table. I bought one to attach it under my son's room table, which fit perfectly, but putting four screw holes into the FÖRNUFTIG was a pa

I sometimes ask my son to come to my computer and try to explain what I am trying to solve. He is in high school and understands the basic idea of what I am explaining to him. Usually, while explaining, I find the solution.

That's what I am often wondering about. A large part of Germans have developed a completly exaggerated fear of nuclear energy, acting almost like cult or if they are in a mass delusion. One example: When I say to some of my friends tha
