That's exactly how Excel does it. Personally, I don't like it. I prefer English function names. However, the most annoying thing about Excel localisation is that the behaviour of CSV import/export changes depending on the OS

Apple built Core Data on top of sqlite. There are probably a lot more Apple apps using it than just Safari and Notes. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/coredata/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wi

ARM is wholly owned by an investor called SoftBank, who is desperate for cash right now, because they messed up with WeWork.

True, however the joint venture was founded to “further develop” the technology. That means the ARM architecture itself seems to have originated at Acorn, without Apple.

That requires that Softbank is willing to sell.

I wouldn't interpret Sony's and Microsoft's decision for AMD graphics as anything other than Nvidia being dickheads. Keep in mind that Apple is also exclusively building Macs with AMD graphics cards. They don't even supp

I remember the clean design phase. It's easy to forget, but back then medium was really impressive. Their design team posted an article about quotation marks in 2015 and I still remember it today: https://medium.design/

Some password managers have a feature to automatically clear the clipboard contents 30 seconds after copying a password. But I have only seen this on Android, Windows and macOS. Not on any iOS apps, likely due to tougher restrictions on exe

You bought an Android device to avoid tracking? lol As long as you're using binaries that were compiled by Google I wouldn't trust them one bit. If you use LineageOS on your TV you might be a little better off.

I use youtube.com (desktop version) in Mobile Safari and get adblocking without jailbreak. I prefer the desktop website because it lets me watch the videos in better quality than the mobile website. m.youtube.com seems to limit the maximum

It does. It's an implementation detail below Core Data. I'm not sure if you are allowed to send raw queries to it. I believe that app developers who want to interface directly with SQLite have to use something like FMDB. https:&#

Both the ST4000DM000 and the ST4000DM004 are not marketed for NAS usage, because they are part of the Barracuda line. You should've gotten IronWolf drives.

Do you discharge your iPhone all the way to 0%? The bottom 20% are also not so great for battery wear. Ideally you would stay between 20-80% (only charging to 100% and discharging to 0% when you really need it)

The happy range for a modern battery is 20-80%. The bottom and top 20% are what's causing the wear, so merely staying between 90% and 100% won't do you any good.

This looks great!! I love the simplicity of the bar charts. I'm just wondering how the line chart is actually more accessible than an inline SVG of the same chart. You go through a lot of trouble creating lots of <div> tags, but

Do you use a Chromium-based browser? Chrome/ium's Print-To-PDF uses quite a different (better) method for generating the PDF compared to the OS-level Print-To-PDF. The OS-level PDF converter can lose a lot of information. Especial
