Hmm, so JavaScript was conceived at Netscape in 1995 according to Wikipedia. After the release Sun must have registered the "JavaScript" trademark instead of going after Netscape. Any idea why they did that? Wasn't their inac

For anyone who is wondering why: parseInt() only accepts strings as input. So JavaScript calls .toString() on the number before passing it as an argument. (0.000001).toString() // "0.000001" (0.0000001).toStrin

parseInt() and parseFloat() are made for strings, not for numbers. I think you are looking for one of these: Math.round() Math.ceil() Math.floor()

Looks very nice! The only small criticism would be that most people are not professional photographs, so they wouldn't even come close to having cover photos for every one of their notes. Also, a Mac version would be nice.

Interesting analysis! I wonder how this would affect AMP articles. What happens when a one-time visitor (from the publisher's perspective, but not from Google's perspective) looks at the cached AMP version of the page on Google&#x

How would you analyse content that's asynchronously loaded and inserted into the DOM? I think DOM mutation observers would be a huge hit on performance.

That naming has been used for a few years already. I'm not sure how it started. For example, this Linus Tech Tips video about the first RGB backlit mechanical keyboard from 4 years ago uses the term: https://www.youtube.com&

Does anyone know a JSON parser that parses an ArrayBuffer instead of strings? [1] JSON.parse() only accepts strings. The library that the article recommends also uses XMLHttpRequest with strings. [2] The reason I'm asking is the maximu

Even in the US there are large MLM scams. Just look at Herbalife. They say they stopped some of the bad practices after the FCA investigation, but how likely is it that they changed a pyramid scheme into a non-pyramid scheme overnight?

Quickoffice and Picasa seem to be in both lists, by the way. Technically the second list should almost be a superset of the first list, I suppose.

So in how many years is Google going to shut down Firebase? It was an acquisition and they don't tend to keep those running for long.
