Yeah I'll recommend the quota email digests too. They do a great job, however those are curated. I'm not on it nearly as often as HN but it's a different category.

I disagree - I run a personal mail server and dkim+spf just took a little bit of research to set up, so I'm very glad this brought them to my attention because I want to do what I can to make my emails trustworthy. If there are any pot

I'm on Xvim so I'd prefer to have non-indented blank lines for navigation with { and }. But I wouldn't suggest this guideline for projects where multiple devs since Xcode defaults to indenting blank lines. IMO you want to set

The image retains characteristics of film even though it goes through DI, even color quality. (Quality in the sense of 'different', not strictly 'better'.) I think it's the principle of "you can't work wit

Unfortunately I don't see how a system like this could be accessible using the native accessibility tools like voiceover, and so IMO is a non-starter. The FAQ doesn't seem to address it.

Keying in a specific pin might actually be an incriminating and video-recorded action, so while it would probably make a compromised ATM harder to spot, it would be risky. Passing by with no physical contact is less incriminating, even if i

The comic version of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep was great, it's the same text as the novel but an excellent experience. Sandman and Watchmen are general must-reads if you haven't gotten to those yet.

I see it's already been mentioned here, but the best commercial version of this is called the Victor Reader Stream, made by Humanware. It has few buttons and simple enough navigation for non-technical people to use. Also relevant is NL

Screen readers or Braille displays are options - window-eyes is free on windows now (with purchase of an office bundle) and VoiceOver is free on OS X. After the learning curve you may find it faster than navigating visually if it's pai
