It is possible to serve different markets with different agendas and have both of them serve nVidia’s business. Think of all the freemium software out there; widespread so everybody can use it, but the people who REALLY use it REALLY pay up

He wrote “~free” and also that he set a $10USD limit on it. For the result, I think it is fair to say it is approximately free.

Prrreeeeeach. Not quite on topic here, but when I started working at Big Co., they sent 3 weekly Teams invitations each for hula hooping and desk yoga sessions. That infuriated me to no end because I knew how ineffective so many of my new c

This sounds like an exhausting perspective on the world. I’d rather be hurt by assholes than never allow myself to be vulnerable with anybody. You can mitigate the potential downside without thinking everybody is out to get you or thinking

I agree many buy because of the governance structure and founders retaining control, but there is a lot of dumb money out there. From Claude via stockanalysis.com: META — institutions 67.51%, insiders 13.49%, float 2.19B of 2.54B shares out

Thank you, I was confused as well. This makes sense. Similar fixed cost and much lower/negligible variable cost.

Depends on what you mean by AI product. If you’re talking about a chatbot or agent, that may be true, but o think it’s less true if you’re talking about AI-run application layer tooling. If Meta decides to compete with Shopify and provide a

Earn is synonymous with profit, and this hurts their profits. Introducing latency can benefit much more people and actually make usage more efficient. Reducing latency can sieze up a functioning system. Lately, I’ve been thinking about how

Do you think that cartel leadership would view any such thing as being counterproductive if the law enforcement agencies were not militarized?

You say it sarcastically, but any law enforcement agency is an enemy of the cartels goals and therefore at risk in the event of intervention.

The cartels have also militarized. Bit of a vicious cycle we’re in.

This is turning into a pedantic argument. I’m fine entertaining the nuance of language if your mind is open as well and you aren’t just trying to discuss me to death. I specifically mentioned __this thread__. I generally have an open ear to

What I said is not equivalent to either of those. I wouldn’t say anybody “had this coming” because that is pretty callous. But I would say my sympathy is not endless and is reserved for those who are not victims of their own footguns.
