I meant this in the general sense of keeping the app up to date (and not that PySolFC does not work at all on modern operating systems). For instance, I had graphical issues on macOS with the last official build.

I think you can call it a fork. There will probably even be a name change some time in the future. There was not much activity regarding PySol and PySolFC in recent years. Shlomif is trying to change this.
