If your definition of “appreciably” allows for such variation then I would say this current refresh also hasn’t changed appreciably.

I like XFCE but you can’t cherry pick a niche DE that is designed for minimalism and extrapolate that to computer UIs writ large, which was the subject of my comment. Gnome, KDE, Windows, macOS… all evolve regularly.

Do you harbour an honest expectation that computer UIs will look the same in 2035 as they do in 2025? That would prove to be a silly thing to hope for if you were to backtest it. It’s not churn its change, and it’s inevitable. No sense gett

This is cool! I think the loc-based licensing is smart. Did you consider making the source available under the commercial license terms to support supply chain visibility?

Russia started the war, unprovoked, on foreign soil. So, no, that’s a false assessment. Every death in this war is Russia’s fault because it is, by definition, Russia’s war.

USA was very late to adopt chip/tap terminals, even relative to Canada. I could be wrong but IIRC it was only when Apple Pay came along that tap-enabled terminals began to hit critical mass.

It is understood by all, though, that a vote for Trump is a vote for belligerence and chaos. So those supporters are getting what they asked for and deserve, even if they’re blindsided by the specific manifestation.

Sharing the city name with Microsoft if it’s uncorrelated with an IP address is not a privacy concern. To Microsoft, all they can see is “an anonymous ddg query about restaurants in <city>.”

This is also the stated rationale for Cloudflare’s generous free tier. They build loyalty with hobby and side projects, and engineers take that familiarity to work with them.

Gosh I feel like making the UI is always time consuming, but that might just be because I find it repetitive and boring, and thus perceive the work as taking longer. I could die a happy man never imperatively constructing nested QBoxLayouts
