If an innocent person had a warrant issued for them, and they were cleared, I bet employers would still routinely query those records if they were able to. It could affect people’s lives if it was too public

I found the transition to be painless, but I did discover Microsoft was spam-labeling some of my emails too. I was using a custom domain though

ProtonMail is better for privacy, and I think fastmail could read your emails if they wanted to - even if they don’t want to after the Australian data access laws. However, the fastmail privacy policy is quite good (I emailed them about it

I worked as a cashier once and it wasn’t the same as it is for my friends who still do. These days, they all have employment contracts, non-competes, and self checkouts taking their jobs. Back in my day, you could just leave any retail job

OS spying is so much more invasive than application or service spying because you can’t opt out as easily. You can go without Facebook but a lot of people just need windows (for their jobs if nothing else, though I sure wish unity3d ran bet
