You can if you like but, with a centralised server, you can do all the merging logic in one place without a CRDT. With a CRDT, you'd be storing the entire history of a document, which might be overkill for something like a todo app tha

Thanks for all your work on performance, my side project is a rich text CRDT in Swift which wraps AttributedString. I took a lot of inspiration from Peritext and used your blog post extensively for performance tuning.

EvironmentObject is a total foot gun for performance and causes a bunch of other issues. Core Data and SwiftUI are also awkward together. We ended up keeping Core Data at arms length and building our own internal framework to do dependency

Still quite normal in bars and clubs in Berlin and likely other parts of Europe. Technically it’s not allowed but isn’t enforced and no one really cares. I don’t mind that as a non-smoker but would find it pretty awful in a restaurant or ca

One thing I didn't know is that certain macOS apps keep their own version history of files, which you can access by opening the file in TextEdit (Xcode for instance will do this) and then File > Revert To > Browse all versions. S

It also contains a lot of misinformation and outdated talking points, not really worth watching. A whole lot of scientists and activists have spoken out against the documentary. I'm still confused as to why Michael Moore made it.

I believe it sometimes doesn't work the first time. Also, if you're on some types of medication for depression or anxiety or are chemically depressed, it may not work at all. I don't have sources for this, just anecdotal, so

I haven't done any professional web stuff in a few years, wasn't this kind of the idea of web components? As you said, The React team can move a lot faster than w3c and each browser vendor.
