Such a great point. I audibly groan when I come across Python meta-programming. While not an advanced feature, I have a similar response when I see lots of decorators in Python. They quickly become a debugging nightmare.

What's ironic about ecosystems is that (as an integration developer), getting devs to build on your platform is so easy if companies would just help them connect to users to better understand their needs, and then give them the neces

I've always been curious about what companies in the graveyard of VC-backed companies would do really well as bootstrapped or 1-person shops. Laracasts is a great example.

With this capability, how close are y'all to it being able to listen to my pronunciation of a new language (e.g. Italian) and given specific feedback about how to pronounce it like a local? Seems like these would be similar.

TBD if this works, but this is 100% the kind of thing I want billionaires doing. More expensive, weird projects that are essentially public art.

This is a surprisingly common way that spies get caught, and the FBI even includes "buying things they can't afford" in their list of ways to "spot a possible insider threat". https://www.fbi.gov/new

While it doesn't look like the version sold and $3,000 is kinda nuts, the actual version does look a lot more usable than the better looking mockup.

I don't actually know what "buttoning up open source licensing / IP ownership" means. Is that making sure you have a license for all software you're using?

Can anyone speak to how/why they have this ability? Isn't Wordle effectively just a game UX pattern? How is that copyrightable?

I've talked to folks early in their careers at toxic/crappy companies who don't realize they should leave, because they're told "well we're a startup, of course we can't afford X", when X is something

In your opinion, are there underexplored opportunities to build on top of Pipedream as a platform, or is the opportunity still mostly for existing tools to extend themselves via integrating?

Before clicking, assumed "integration" referred to integrating software with third party tools. Which sounds hellish to compete in, but I'd be fascinated to watch.

Pretty fascinating to hear the counter-examples here. Admittedly, I based this comment on my recent experience in Munich, and it definitely sounds like it wasn't as representative as I assumed.
