Hi Sam, I worked at Real Time Worlds on that too. Probably before it was called My World, then I think we were calling it Real Driving or something then. Small world! Cheers James

I started using type annotations heavily in my Python code recently, and coupled with IDEs like VSCode and PyCharm that leverage the typing, and the underlying tools like pyright/pylance, it's a game changer. I wouldn't try a

Our company FilmLight used to build such scanners, called Northlight. Similar scanners were ARRI Scan. It used an 8K line array CCD, and pulled a film frame across by locking the frame in a gate and moving the gate with a servo. Indeed, 6 f

You can work around that by using relative linker paths (rpaths). See 'install_name_tool -add_rpath' (to add an rpath search path to a library or executable for finding other libraries) and 'install_name_tool -id' (to ch

If you haven't watched Chernobyl on HBO/Sky/NowTV, you should. It's an excellent mini-series. I've rewatched it 2 or 3 times already. Jared Harris does an excellent job playing Legasov. https://en.wikiped

The closest you will get is something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/QNAP-QNA-T310G1S-Single-Thunderbolt... There's a lot of supporting circuitry, and quite a lot of power to dissipate.

When you virtualise macOS it does expose the GPU, but only Metal is supported. However perhaps Mesa will be able to support OpenGL via paravirtualised Metal, for Linux and perhaps macOS and Windows.
