Hello! I might be that guy! YMMV but try mentioning it low-key style to him. They're most likely oblivious to it and chancing their arm / pushing their luck with it. They'll probably be embarrassed more than anything if you b

If you choose a Opentype typeface with Tabular figures as an option, you could have a high quality typeface that prints out the numbers that are fixed width, but might be significantly more aesthetically considered than standard monospaced

Your line of questioning is great. And it's something that drives me up the wall that designers don't engage with these questions better. Here's someone from DesignerNews on your comments: "Here's what the left-brai

Odd comment. Clients in my work consistently pay us to do 'What we think is best' because that's what they're paying us for. Sometimes we do production work, but more often than not we're directing and advising the

Where's part uno? Look it, people can talk and read all the shite they want but unless they actually do and show results – they're a load of hot air. I do recognise a vibe from your post that I've encountered. Freelancers w

No problem. If you are serious about going down the road of a designer, you will have to get comfortable with telling clients what I told you above and moving them away from subpar ideas. Most of the time, when things are pointed out in the

Few points of feedback on the interpreter site. Bear in mind I am not the target audience but I am a designer, and this site is unfinished. * The image for Éva looks like something they'd take at border control for a refugee. Not a fit

Funny. Being from a very rural area my solution would of been to walk outside and hoof the bloody thing as far as I could into the surrounding fields and have a cup of tae while waiting for the boom.

Good typography and layouts are informed by the ideas and story an author is trying to convey. If we are to say we want an author to care about the communication of their work, they should take an active interest in how that work is present

Bit late but worth the read: http://www.wired.com/2015/02/on-the-joy-of-mastery/ Agree with you on accessibility and responsiveness. Think visual design for the most part should stay the same.
