The issue is there is great software such as [0] Supercollider and [1] Pd. As interfaces are class compliant the drivers actually work suprisingly well on Linux, its just stability and edge case bugs that will catch you out. [0] - https:&#

I distinctly remember it being not the MIDI standard, and it was really frustrating. I'll report back if I look at it again.

Did you ever come across how they map parameters inside the VST/AU standard? Everyone else does 0 -> 1. They do 1 -> 120 or something completely boffed.

I don't understand what people are talking about when they say they get gouged by phones. Mine cost 180 USD in 2016. I still use it everyday and I get over 10 hours screen time. The issue is people conflate everyday devices of utility

You sound like someone who has never had to deal with the horrific experience that is ASIO drivers. People use Mac because CoreAudio is great and obviously windows can't be trusted in a live setting due to the many already documented i

We test with machines that have it, but we don't operate day to day on 10.14. It's more about offering backwards compatibility so the majority of users can benefit.

Sorry but this seems like a classic 'if you have a hammer everything seems like a nail'. There is no problem with the two dimensions that a traditional calendar has. Want to know whats in the future? Turn the page or look further

I'm in the same boat. When I do something bad CLI helps me fix it, but otherwise an interface is really useful for me.

It sounds stupid but something that really simplified git to me as an absolute beginner about a year ago was the fact that it doesn't exist on GitHub. Knowing that git was just something that sat in the folder on your filesystem and mo

Just to advance my previous comment; right now the most interesting feature to me is the motif detection, however, the motif's are always incredibly short (or a fixed size?). Please excuse me ignorance in this regard, I'm not too

It might also be related to the peak-end rule[1]. The most intense feeling of a hike can come in many places, probably at the end if the goal is to get somewhere in particular or to complete a specific goal. Although it might be mostly bad&

You say that the algorithm is fast, and the literature certainly points to this too but I tried the python implementation (linked here) on some audio data sets. 1 second of audio at a reasonable quality is 44.1k data points and it was takin

Used to be a keepass user until I found bitwarden. It does everything better, more simply. Sync is handled so much better and the browser extensions are super intelligent at picking up login fields.

It's a self made problem that was solved in an interesting way. Of course noone is going to use a portmanteau of every word ever, but if everything was done out of pure utility everything would be a bit stale...no?
