I love this solution for a number of reasons: 1. I find the posting experience on Discord far more seamless than that on a typical forum. From navigating channels to posting messages, I prefer the quicker navigation and viewing that it prov

Where are the death camps? The gas chambers? This comment has no place on HN for sheer idiocy and sensationalism.

This is scarily accurate, and partly why I've switched to Kagi (www.kagi.com) for what Google used to be. While they will introduce their paid service soon, I believe it would be worth every penny.

Metacalculus, a mass forecasting site, has steadily brought forward the prediction date for a weakly general AI. Jaw-dropping advances like this, only increase my confidence in this prediction. "The future is now, old man." https

Not quite. I grew up in Southern Africa where HIV/AIDS is still a massive problem today, and it was an equal opportunity disease unlike how it was in the West where mostly gay men were affected to my knowledge. Sobering statistics incl

I never quite thought that I would see a fellow Zimbo on HN - although I suspect the few of us that are have left the country for good (and did so decades ago at that).

Completely agree. Booted Jolnir up on a VM when it came out and I was very much unimpressed.

I hate this trend in ‘ultra modern’ websites with the infinite scroll pulling you through some sort of animation. The website is near unusable as a result.

This article is nonsensical. Green energy is the exact reason why we’re moving away from Russian gas... the logic seems to be on the low at the National Review.
