This looks like it might be an interesting read, but I just read the Chapter "Are Feelings Real?" (because it is a subject of personal interest of mine that I've studied a lot) and I found it to be very unsatisfactory, not re

Sorry I don't consider this a "truth" at all. Unconstrained curiosity is a superpower. Some of the greatest people in history have had immense curiosity. Think Newton, Darwin, Feynman. In fact pretty much any great scientist

> Consciousness can, however, emerge spontaneously in sufficiently complex systems as an unstable state of architectural self-transparency. That is an assertion without foundation.

Just tested this, it worked. And asking without the jailbreak produced the response as per the given system prompt.

Yes I agree. A lot of the stuff in GDPR are things that companies should be doing anyway.

I agree. I had some really wonderful biology teachers that inspired me to go on to do a degree in biology. They would have hated the example presentation about the Amazon rainforest. This is very nicely designed, but as an educational tool?

Why just stick to Mermaid? I expect that there is a lot more material with regards to SVG that large models have been trained on. And it's a fairly simple format. Asking it to create diagrams in SVG format gives it much more flexibilit

This is a much nicer format than the one in the linked article. I think my approach would be to generate a file in Markdown, then import that into a good Markdown editor. You could generate it each week or month from a template, making it e

I think the key to getting into the habit of writing blog posts is to make the actual process of writing and then publishing as easy and frictionless as possible. I use Bear app for the writing - it's a very well designed markdown edit

With the Kagi search engine is a way in the settings to bulk-upload lists of domains to block (or upvote) them. Has anyone uploaded a list like this to it? I may do that.

As a huge Tintin fan I find one of the interesting things about it is how few Tintin images you can find on the web. I expect that is because they have lawyers contacting sites that put up copyrighted images.

I think it's only the case that the first book has entered the public domain, not all the others, so technically you are breaking copyright if you use images from later books (as does this article). Also copyright is not the same as a

If I have a playlist and I get Spotify to add to it, I expect it to add things that people who like the things that I like also like. I do not expect it to add whatever is most profitable for Spotify. Especially since I pay for the service.

Yes I had someone the other day ask me if they were too old to study a subject at 35... I find it very weird. I think if you don't exercise, and you don't learn new things, you probably do start feeling old pretty quickly.
