I'm not sure I agree, and as a rule of thumb don't really see much value in the arguments of those who seemingly can predict the future, especially when spreading FUD is the primary mechanism for supporting their prediction.

Your comment is harmful at worst and helpful to absolutely no one at best. Unsolicited "tough love" serves nothing but to inflate the ego of the hilariously naive "lover."

We sound similar. In my case, inpatient treatment (looney bin) has helped immensely, especially when I found myself with no where else to go. I hope you find the peace you deserve.

To say we didn't get a long well in my family is a massive understatement. As a result I think I became what at least some would consider a bully. I carry tremendous guilt as a result for the way I treated others but in a perverse way

How do you view conflict now? Do you think your experience affected that view?

I understand and agree with the sentiment, but "why only GitHub?" comments are practically at the top of every similar HN thread. There's certainly no harm in asking. The question strikes me as naive though, akin to asking &q

I find myself these days on one of these ops teams. The lead time is the same for deploying either a code or infrastructure change, and probably closer to 3-4 months here. It's not an operational capacity or competency issue for this o

I think the point would be excluding or otherwise filtering "flawless" copy from search results. If that were the case I think it would benefit non-native speakers.

Every time I read something that's aggressively branded as anti-AI, I am compelled to read the final paragraph first just to make sure I'm not about to get baited and switched by someone who believes they're far more clever t

Can't imagine you'll get a reply. The term, as with virtually all modern political terminology, quickly lost all meaning and just became a synonym for anything vaguely progressive. I will always enjoy the irony of attaching "

Are you suggesting the median age, rather than the average age, for whatever a "light vehicle" is, is 13 years old? Edit: nevermind, your comment makes more sense after re-reading the parent comment.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about the AI bit, but I feel compelled to nitpick your assertions. Ram is a series of models (1500, 2500, etc) and includes vans. It's not one specific pickup model, and not even exclus

There's no difference in the tasks you you described. I'm not saying it's not possible to do bad work over SSH, I'm saying it's in fact more punishing. If something is 500 keystrokes to do in Linux, you're ince

If an org has sysadmin(s) what are devs doing in production? I'm not referring to juniors or devs, although shit obviously rolls down hill. My point is that whatever is done over SSH is at the very least repeatable with relative ease e
