Yes it follows from first principles, a well-insulated house has a structure that is being heated and retains heat (like a pizza stone) as well as the air itself. Heating air inside a cold structure is quite different from heating air insid

No heat pumps are a new thing here. Not typical at all. Most people have gas furnaces.

Actually those are just the skills you need to work efficiently in any knowledge-work environment. The people who lack those just suck up everyone else’s time.

I don’t think you mean 80% right. You mean 100% right on the things you care about. If I need a widget that fits some size, is child-safe, doesn’t quickly break and costs less than $300 I can’t accept 80% right. Sure I don’t care about the

Mixing up these two concerns is a bad idea. Your product manager now has to convince engineers to implement the metrics they want. Data that is irrelevant to engineers now needs dragging along to places inside the system so that events are

I think you’re reading it wrong. Figure 17 says it’s 2.9 seconds, not milliseconds. Slower than pdfTeX which was 2.2 sec. But their incremental mode is faster at 0.6 sec.

Noooope. Slack isn’t providing the kind of financial controls or guarantees necessary. There’s no reporting. Presumably any admin can manipulate or delete messages, etc.

It went to appeal and all those points were addressed. But I agree that it would have been much better to actually prosecute those murder-for-hire charges. Even if acquitted, the judge can still take the accusations into account during sent

That’s not how it works. The evidentiary standard for a jury is “beyond a reasonable doubt” but for the sentencing judge is “preponderance of the evidence”, with the caveat that the judge can’t use that to hand down a sentence harsher than

Despite the thousands of pages of ISO 32000, the reality is that the format is not defined. Acrobat tolerates unfathomably malformed PDF files generated by old software that predates the opening-up of the standard when people were reverse-e

I dunno that just sounds like a standard visitor visa that costs £100. U.K. government websites are excellent and you can apply for all this stuff yourself online.
