I found I had to wind my Seiko far more often than that. Is this because you wear it daily and the self winder keeps it going? How often do you have to adjust the time?

Distributing what, exactly? It required you already owned a copy of the game to install/build it.

I do Caps Lock to Control too, which frees up the bottom left key as a Function key on external keyboards.

ThinkPads are what I reach for on the PC side of things, and those still have a dedicated middle button for the most part. Otherwise I can't think of a single modern example of a laptop with a middle button. They're all click pads

Muscle memory, no middle click on most trackpads. It just feels weird coming from a browser after using Control+C to copy something and then having to use Control+Shift+V to paste. I never got used to the right click to paste paradigm. I ex

Keyboard shortcuts are a big sticking point for me switching away from macOS. I expected I could wrestle Linux into something that resembles macOS shortcuts but it’s tricky and inconsistent. The clearest example of where macOS excels with s

> where the server just publishes a giant JSON object of state and the clients are pure functions of it (and send messages to the server to mutate it) So, XSLT for JSON basically. I like it.

The marketing material for the display used in TFA shows a video being played at (almost) acceptable frame rates with little ghosting, for what it’s worth.

Yikes, sorry. There only seems to be a vague notion of supposed “limited market use” for e-ink which means that volume is low and therefore R&D investment is low and so on. Patents are a convenient scapegoat, for lack of something more

The helicopter uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, which doesn't appear to be radiation hardened. I'm guessing their usual BAE RAD750 PowerPC rad hardened CPU was too heavy to put on the helicopter.

It takes a while to get used to. The biggest value add for me with the nub is scrolling while holding the middle button. I love that.

I absolutely loved the smell of my RX-8’s rotary engine dumping fuel into the catalytic converter on a cold day to warm it up faster. It also burned a bit of oil while running.

Seems like the Homebrew version already builds on M1. People have been working on this since last year. https://amitp.blogspot.com/2020/11/building-emacs-27-on-appl...

Function is fine, but Control gets moved to (in my opinion a better place) Caps Lock. The thing is that what you’re asking for isn’t impossible. The keycap support is there. A small tweak to the plate and PCB would do the trick. It’s funny

I’m telling you this as a person with half a dozen Mac-layout custom mechanical keyboards on my desk and shelves: they can and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Command belongs next to Space, I agree. Edit: I see. You want four modifiers on

Any keyboard with QMK can be remapped to a Mac layout. Also Macs have supported positional key remapping since forever.

Every single custom mechanical keyboard supports fully customizable open source firmware called QMK or Via. Nothing about any mechanical keyboard with QMK is inherently second-class when it comes to Linux. The other weird thing about this k
