Qualcom has been working on Mirasol [0], an alternative to ePaper for a long time now. I saw it 4 years ago at Mobile World Congress and it really looks nice. Full colour screens and the more light you pump in, the better it looks. Sadly, s

I can confirm that. At least 15 years ago in Bavaria, the official statement was: "If innocents are in danger, abort the chase. Get his licence plates, broadcast his description, and we get him". Source: Was a cop back then.

I will try to verify this with the next Win 8 Ultrabook I get for testing. I am not sure, though, at least on my desktop (with EFI Bios), my USB keyboard gets initialized right away - might be different on notebooks.

Its interesting to see how they try to cover it up. Especially BMW has researched alternative fuels, mainly hydrogen, but stopped its test fleet in 2009 [0]. Only one super expensive image car, a BMW 7, remains [1]. Audi and VW also dabbled

I think MS is as bad as Apple. They learned/copied a lot from Apple over the last year when it comes to marketing. Including the highly annoying "No comment".
