I think the parent’s point was that “them” is referring to a group that is “other than normal”, and that that should raise caution. (Not agreeing or disagreeing, simply trying to infer the meaning.)

Anecdotally, I own a Kia EV6, and had to get new tires within two years, under 20k miles. I leave it in eco mode, so acceleration is nerfed, too. We’ll see how long the new set of Michelin Defenders last.

No, it’s not a joke. EVs are heavier vehicles, and it’s common for EV owners to have to change tires much more frequently. https://www.cars.com/articles/do-evs-wear-through-tires-more...

Maybe I’m not the crowd this article is referring to, but for the most part, I wishlist games I’m interested in, then buy them on sale. As a result, I’ve played most of the games in my library. Having said that, there are still games I have

I need to try some of their other ones. I’ve only played Opus Magnum, which I loved. But being the completionist that I am, I stopped playing it once I got to a level I wasn’t able to perfectly optimize across all three measurements.

I’m not necessarily saying it is or isn’t. But I think, by definition, if an article draws a lot of flagged/downvoted comments (as this one has), it’s hard to argue that it’s not divisive, at least to this audience.

I don’t disagree. I’m just afraid it’s a hard problem to solve, at least an automated one. At one point, I proposed a read-only option for (well-reported) divisive articles to help raise awareness without resulting in flame wars. But there

I think parent just means that it’s a divisive topic, which means on the internet, that inherently makes it flamebait (and not necessarily through any fault of the reporting). Even on HN (and sometimes, especially on HN). There are some div

You must not be allergic, then, because it lasts a lot longer than a stubbed toe, and much more painful than simply “irritating”. I’d rather stub my toe 10 times than get stung by a bee — well, maybe not the same toe. :)
