For sure, I’m not advocating intentionally lengthening videos for financial incentives, either. I guess I didn’t immediately get that impression when I watched it, but I wasn’t watching it with that in mind. My point is I don’t mind filler

I just watched the whole thing, and I didn’t mind. I feel like people have just gotten so used to 10-second videos, and anything longer now feels like an eternity. I really hope people don’t stop making longer form videos in favor of TikTok

The only thing missing is the voiceover. “A look at your local radar.” “Currently the temperature is 81 degrees under clear skies.” I feel like that’s the natural next step, and we’re probably not too far away from being able to do that.

Yeah, there's something about hearing -- especially music -- and smell that can somehow really induce major nostalgia, where sight just doesn't have the same effect. Sight still definitely can induce nostalgia, but not near to the

I actually prefer the (grammatically incorrect) sentence-starting “And”. Sentence-starting “And”s bring the drama. And that’s why I love them. Or even better: Sentence-starting “And”s with line breaks bring even more drama. And that’s

I’m talking strictly the rules of gameplay, and applying that metaphorically to competition within the workplace and war. Taken literally, of course the experience of playing a board game should be fun for everyone, regardless of the outcom

I think this is basic competition. For example, in board games, there are several types: - Competitive games: every person for themselves; there’s one winner, everyone else loses - Co-op games: every human vs. “the game”, often in the form

I'm surprised no one has yet to mention the use of the name "Flow", which is also the title of the 2025 Oscar winning animated movie, built using Blender. [1] This naming seems very confusing, as I originally thought there mu

Full time people spend roughly 24% of their week working. Factoring in PTO/holidays, roughly 20 years of education and 20 years retirement, part time and unemployment, that number drops quite a bit (I’d guess roughly half, to 12%). Of

This article has surprisingly little substance, given its title. They might as well have just said: There are three large telescopes in the works in different parts of the world. Here's a picture of one of them.
