Remarkable indeed, I've been toying with many smaller, unorthodox use-cases for LLMs and continue to be surprised.

This is such a Zizek-esk kind of example of the dialectic, but I haven't heard him reference this as a classic example.

I love apple for the hardware, but they would be a better company if they released their iron grip over the software. One day I dream I can install Linux on iOS devices.

I feel the same. My initial reaction is that I like the vision, but I feel there is probably a compromise to build these mechanics into a library for many languages, rather than requiring the DC burden of picking up a new 'better cloud

I want a thing like the rabbit, but it is with open source hardware and software. I might even be open to having ambient listening if I could host all the data.

Could I use this library to implement offline support for an API (for example htmx requests)? I'm imagine I could capture requests in the web worker to add in offline logic.

You laugh, but I've been using this technique to fully support offline behavior with htmx. (not a SPA though)

I had no idea CDPR also owned GOG! "GOG.com is a digital distribution platform for video games and films. It is operated by GOG sp. z o.o., a wholly owned subsidiary of CD Projekt based in Warsaw, Poland."

The HN hive mind is amusing as I came here to get to comment this exact post. It looks really interesting, and I'm also tired of giving up so much memory for just a SQL GUI tool.

I've worked in digital rights management for YouTube media, and (dare I say) it is far from being pretty good. Claimers can basically deny revenue to uploaded videos for months at a time while the dispute process is occuring. This peri

Thanks, I should have mentioned this. Lots of tradeoffs here and Apple is far from ideal. I really want a desktop equivalent of an A100 with 80gb, although $17k is just insane*. https://www.cdw.com/product/pny-nvidia-a1

We need a lot more memory for desktop GPUs with the need to run AI locally for productivity and gaming. 48gb+ would be the minimum ideal for running 70b+ models. If Nvidia, AMD, and Intel fail to deliver more to desktop users, I can see a l

I really, really want something like this that is truly multiple platform and local. Linux and Windows are a must. Must be 100% offline so that it is useable without Internet. I'd gladly pay $60 per each major version per year. Add per
