Google already has this data, because every app has access to sensors by default and GMS has always on location access anyway. Even on graphene OS, location without GMS is almost unusable.

That's a different conversation, I doubt you can really trust telegram either. Also don't forget that most people back their stuff to Google Drive/iCloud anyways, so it's not like it's impossible to access.

I agree, but most of these issues stem from not having enough funding, as active as matrix seems to be, they are struggling to actually fund its development.

To an extent yes, but apparently YouTube shorts are bigger than TikTok now. And I would argue that TikTok targeted short videos, which aren't really YouTubes main thing.

> AFAIK, whatsapp is still dependent on your mobile being the primary source. It has "link a device" feature, which has some of the features but cannot be used as an independent client. Not anymore https://blog.whats

What does being multi platform have to do with E2E? Matrix does the same thing yet supports E2E, whatsapp allows multi platform access while also having full E2E support.

Apart from telegram not having any kind of actually used E2E Encryption, they store everything, which means the cost of running their service is crazy high compared to something like whatsapp which AFAIK only stores stuff up to 3 months whe

But that's not true? Proton said they will not hand over your emails, which they never did because they couldn't and still can't.

I think humans will move much higher in the development model, devs are going to become essentially Product managers for their projects. AI can't plan well, but if you just give it a simple request it will do it, however it won't

Braves success proves that's Firefox's problem, and not that user's don't care about privacy.

If it was actually about privacy, they should've passed a privacy bill, but nah, it's just about making sure only U.S. companies can spy on their users, not others, also killing the only competition for Meta.

Bing/Copilot works without an account too, it's just very limited and it will ask you to sign in way too often for it to be useful, openai will probably do the same thing.

Docker was only phased out in red hat distros because they don't like it and want to push Podman. Others still have docker packaged in their repos.

It's enticing to switch to Claude, however it doesn't look like it includes any image generation/Internet browsing Plugins, makes it more difficult to switch tbh.
