I think a lot of the younger generations wanting in-office work comes from living alone. I did WFH for a ~2 years recently and found that even when I was visiting with friends most days, those 8 hours spent alone, in my bedroom (the only pl

definitely not the case, reddit has stated that they would not be doing that, at least for the two-day protest. would be incredibly bad PR at this scale, especially after repeatedly and directly making this statement. however, they have sta

Good news on that- they’re experimenting with lower cost unlimited right now; people who had an annual membership before the switch are back to unlimited searches for now.

Are you talking about Google TV? I haven't used that one, but I've used Chromecast 4k and was not impressed. It doesn't have a remote - or really a TV UI at all - which was my biggest gripe.

Agreed, though I have to say Phillips Hue lights have been well worth the money in this regard. I have some Lutron switches that snap over my standard flip-switches which prevents accidentally cutting power to the bulbs, and the switches ta

The _average_ user costs $2.50/mo in API requests. I’m willing to bet people who pay for the “ultra” tier of an app are above average users at best, especially when you consider Apollo also has free users.

I think #3 could possibly work _if_ it was in conjunction with being housing-first. If SF had an agreement with another city with available housing, I think busing people there _if and only if they have a home ready_ could be a really reaso

The exam questions are likely simpler than an entire application would be; using AI to write bubble sort is trivial but getting it to understand the full context of your application is much less so. ChatGPT can solve most LeetCode questions

Yep, when writing IaC I always just give it a prefix like "$project-web" and terraform adds a long string of numbers at the end. It's going through CloudFront anyways, so no one should be referencing the bucket name directly

It seems like you can rent as well. I’m from Texas but my car is registered to my apartment’s address which seems like all they require. Would love to see better privacy legislation that would require an opt out for everyone though.
