You don't need any of this to be successful, what I've found in my early-mid twenties is in nearly all situations showing up and showing initiative puts you in the top 5%.

Completely agree with this - most freelancers I know and guests on podcasts I listen to regret charging too little to begin. Its actually recurring advice here that the customers who pay you the least are the most demanding.

Firstly if you feel like you have anxiety go see a professional, it helps. At the very least look up CBT. 1. You could fix this by changing your method of "learning", maybe you could do sketchnotes for things you learn if you are

I developed anxiety (not diagnosed) earlier this year - even just laying it all out to a psychologist helped A LOT. Since my anxiety is in check I can focus on my diet a lot more, starting to get results with weight and feeling better now.

This is how I view managers, iteration managers etc. not only do they "steer the ship" (i.e. set the strategy) they are a shield from the rest of the business.

We have a winner. And even if you fail you write some blog posts, do the speaking circuit and end up with another high paying role in a startup, VC or a services company (Government, Co-working space, law firm...)

Yup I agree, best gym I signed up for the owner refused to do any personal training with me until I showed I was serious by doing the circuit he provided me twice a week for a month.

The company was founded by the same type of people, I'm not sure why it gets so much credibility as a took other than through great marketing. Nowadays there are much better tools to use (namely Snowplow, Segment)

On /r/consulting people talk about PIPs fairly often so look there if you want a variety of situations and answers. The general thought there is if you are being put on a PIP look for another job as the company will have a reason

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a kid and have recently (last few months) had some pretty bad anxiety - this comment makes me wonder is the anxiety just restless of the mind? Will tell my GP I have ADD next time I see him and see what

how do you do more relaxed? I lost a massive amount of weight completely cutting carbs (inc recording each macro every day) but stress eating made me put it on again... hoping i can find a more sustainable way...
