This is in my backlog. Would you want to be able to specify the exact output resolution or would a few templates work fine?

The final render is performed in the browser. I’m very much a fan of offloading computationally expensive take to the client so that I can provide this service for free.

Yup, I’ve been hearing that a fair bit. I’m slowly working through usability issues.

I hadn’t expected this to blow up as much as it had so I hadn’t polished up the homepage yet. My Twitter is @JacobBeckerman if you want to get it touch.

This is top priority. In theory it should work, but there are few bugs still preventing it from working.

Hey everyone, creator here. I had planned on launching here at some point in the future, but someone beat me to it. The motivation behind creating Mastershot was because when searching for a simple free video editor to use, they always hit

1) It doesn't upload/download anything. All transcoding/trimming happens in the browser. 2) There might be a slight loss in terms of quality seeing as it's using lossy encoding, but it shouldn't be noticeable to the

Hey HN, this is the second browser-based media oriented tool I created. With this tool, you can select a segment of video you wish to extract from a larger video. It works across all browsers, but it can be a bit slow in Firefox. EDIT: It&#

Believe me, I feel the same way. I launched the first version of this tool to gauge interest. As we speak a new version has gone up with complete cross-browser support. Although it isn’t easy that the browser with the most privacy issues ha

I have a version up that in theory should support Safari (both desktop and mobile). The only limitation at the moment is that there's no progress indicator. Edit: limitation is gone, it should work 100% now

It theoretically should also work with Firefox, but for some reason that I haven’t yet discovered it’s not working. It requires SharedArrayBuffer to be enabled on the browser and that’s currently only Chrome/FF.
