I understand that inspiration for posting this was the Amazon taking away the ability to "Download and transfer over USB". Can anybody tell me if downloading will still work via Kindle for PC? That's how I download my books b

What you describe is the entrance to their esophagus. That's why although the kayaker found himself in whale's mouth, the animal could not swallow him and had to spit him out.

You can, but to retain anonymity you'll need to go through decentralized exchange (DEX). This is extra hassle, especially if you have never done this before.

It's subjective. LibreOffice UI is why I stay away from MS Office. I can't find anything in MS Office anymore, I have to rely on their "search for command" feature (or whatever it's called) to be able to do anything

Kagi accepts bitcoins but Vlad (the founder) mentioned on their forum that so few people use this option that it does not make sense to work on accepting Monero.

Can confirm, I am from the EU (PL) and don't see such option. But I saw one that mentions passing data to third parties for "social, economic, and workplace research" and I took the opportunity to switch that off.

Highly unlikely, that would undermine their business model. For the same reason they don't offer pay as you go plan. Vlad explicitly stated somewhere that they are able to make money only because many people do not use their plans to t

Is there any browser extension based on Rrweb that would let me record my actions and export them to a file which could be then replayed by another person? I know commercial tools, I am wondering whether there is something free available.

There is a finite number of IPv4 addresses, you can simply open TCP connection to each of them on multiple ports and index everything that is returned. There are tools to do this by yourself (the only challenge is to find a provider that wo

There is free service called Certstream [0]. It does not provide notifications, you need to ingest the stream, look for the patterns of interest to you and handle notifications by yourself. But it's fairly easy and the service is commo

I typically use a mix of Google and DuckDuckGo and this combination serves me well. I block all ads with uBlock Origin. I tried Kagi and I like it but not enough to justify the price to myself. If they ever introduce a plan where they charg

Wouldn't one have to agree to the cookies on Giphy site for the data to be shared? There's no such possibility in Slack, so I'd assume different T&C apply here.

There's no such a thing as "trial period" in the EU. You have 14 days to return the product without a reason but only if it was an online purchase. If you bought the goggles in a brick-and-mortar store you'd be out of lu
