There's "Ask ChatGPT" overlay at the bottom of the page, so I asked "how risky is giving my medical data to OpenAI?" Interestingly ChatGPT advised caution ;) In short it said: 1. Safer than standard AI chats, 2. Not

Something or someone will eventually fill the void. Chinese are trying to manufacture GPUs, they are very far from what Nvidia can offer, but they'll slowly get there. As for RAM - the new factories are being built and will hopefully b

Depends on where you live. In Poland the house cleaning costs ~$15/h. The robot vacuum would pay itself off within a year. But I am aware that in e.g. some parts of Asia the maid service is dirt cheap.

Lots of cheap (and good) Chinese alternatives entered the market recently but I'd say Victorinox is still going strong. In Poland it's sold everywhere and the brand is very recognizable.

I am not sure what you mean by "buyer protection" but if it's chargeback then it's doable on debit cards too.

At the beginning of my career I was shitting my pants when I had to respond with "I don't know". But the more experience you have the easier it gets. Eventually you will observe that such response does not bring any bad outco

In my company we sometimes cherry-pick parts of the AI summaries and send them to the clients just to confirm the stuff that we agreed on during a meeting. The customers know that the summary is AI-generated and they don't mind. Someti

I just want to remind our overseas friends that the EU is not a country and Mistral is French company. The EU rarely bets on a single firm in a single country, there are always 26 unhappy countries when something like that is about to happe

What could be the benefit of paying $20 to Ollama to run inferior models instead of paying the same amount of money to e.g. OpenAI for access to sota models?

That's true in the world without budget constraints. Sometimes minimal changes in the design result in drastic changes to the implementation effort. Sure, I can build anything, but the client may not be happy if I spend a couple of mon

I do. Housing prices are constantly rising, when you take a loan you are buying an asset which (with some luck) may appreciate in value more than mortgage interest rates. That's why in some countries it's worth taking a loan as so

Thank you! I have no issues with occasional AI responses but nevertheless it's great to have a choice! Are there any other subdomains worth knowing? I was only aware of the Lite version so far.

For $100 more you could get a used 3090 with twice as much VRAM. You could also get 4060 Ti which is cheaper than 4070 and it has 16 GB VRAM (although it's less powerfull too, so I guess depends on the use case)
