A lot of people are claiming you need a prescription to purchase one; that is actually untrue in practice. You need a prescription to get insurance to pay for it but there are plenty of websites that sell dexcom (the best kind) devices dtc.

To be clear, do you think race-based diversity hiring is good? I can agree that having good role models and educational opportunities is important but I'm not so sure race-aware hiring is a good thing, for the reasons stated by OP and

Thanks for this comment. I mostly agree with you. A music theory professor used to lazily say that "nature says so" when asked why a major 3rd sounds better than an augmented 4th (i.e. tritone). Lacking a better explanation I ass

This is more complex than pentatonic noodling, but I agree with other posts that this sounds the way it does mostly because of the choices made by the interpreter. The crucial choice was that every pixel of sierpinski’s triangle is a note

First of all I totally agree with you; the industry has turned to more rent seeking than it did previously. I think park of why this has happened is also related to the transition to cloud computing. This means that unlike earlier versions,

Hello - this is awesome work. Like other commenters, I think the idea that if you are able to transfer a concept into a visual domain (in this case via fft) it becomes viable to model with diffusion is super exciting but maybe an oversimp

I think I broke it: Question: Why did civilization form when it did? Answer: The Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago. The first life forms appeared about 3.5 billion years ago. The first single-celled organisms were probably bacteria.

Another major filter supposedly comes much earlier: the development of complex single celled eukaryotic life. Some people think this occurred due to a single subsumption event on earth between a bacteria and an archaea.

Yes open communication with insulin pump has historically been a feature not a bug. In the older minimed models you still needed the device serial number to “hack” it, not sure if that’s the same for the 530g, but if it is that’s enough sec

I agree with this but your numbers are off IMO. Diabetics who use closed loop systems diligently can achieve A1Cs nearer to 5 without becoming dangerously low all the time. It is hard, but new tech is making it easier. Also an A1C of 5.5
