Well, if every piece of enterprise software worked right out of the box, consultants would be out of business. I have to admit that I'm not a big user of ActiveMQ, but I've used a closed-source equivalent from a slightly bigger vendor (IBM)

Over the year I average $30 a month - but only with about 30 minutes of work a month. It's sad, but I bet I spend more time checking on that income than I do making it. These are mostly old learning experiences and playgrounds for me and I

And it has to be a system that you trust or you won't be able to let go of those mental reminders. Trust means not just that it won't get lost but that you know that you'll review it regularly enough to deal with the items.

I'd like to see a quieter shutter (and mirror). There are a number of situations where I have to put away the DSLR and shoot with a good point-and-shoot just to avoid disturbing other audience members. I guess I need to try a mirrorless mic

LaTeX was part of a class I had to take in my freshman year of college. This makes me feel even older than usual. See, it was a little different back then. You didn't run LaTeX and immediately look at the output in Ghostview or some other t

Interesting that they are (soon to be were) in Tampa, FL - not exactly a hotbed of tech startups. Definitely cheaper to be there, but is it easier or harder to draw talent?

Yes, I tried to follow the citations too and got nowhere. I find it hard to believe that they "never" read another book after college. I suspect that wording has been twisted and we don't know the survey subjects. Did they survey a bunch of

Something interesting about the iStockPhoto revenue is that it's almost entirely from content that's between 2 and 5 years old. It's hard to imagine a mobile app built today still generating significant revenue 5 years from now - without si
