I wonder why the sales dropped so low on June 16th. Didn't the "Chomp" update not roll out on the 22nd? I don't like the Timer example because it's such a new app. Let's see how it places in 3 months. It's also competing on a crowded search

In the same spot. We have multiple apps with updates, partly to get our keywords back together after the "Chomp" store search update. I had been hoping we'd get reviewed in the next day or two, but now I'm happy to wait a few more days so w

Argh. Now I need the 40mm pancake lens. I normally shoot the most with my 50mm 1.4 on my T2i but it's pretty big to pack in my bag, especially with the lens hood to absorb bumps and grabby kids.

It shows up for "Instagram" and "camera" but not "Instagram camera". That's a fundamentally broken search feature.

I never realized that. One of my apps has it's title in keywords and clearly the Angry Birds apps do too. But I know it often comes down to the luck of which reviewer you get.

I don't agree with that. If you have a low budget and rely on keywords for discovery, you shouldn't be competing in a crowded niche in the first place. Unfortunately, all niches will eventually get more crowded. I'm not thrilled with the ch

Yeah I noticed this yesterday and didn't get time to really research it. I thought I might be crazy, but sure enough, now app name and keywords are searched independently. You can search for "Instagram camera" and not find Instagram. That's

Yes. The white on solid color tiles look good with a couple of colors on the screen but once there are 8 animated tiles in different colors and background images on the screen, it looks more like the TV ads on Idiocracy: http://creativebit

Good point. How do you access settings for an iOS app? Some are in the Settings app, under that app's name. Some are in the Settings app, under Notifications. Some are in a settings view within the app itself that's accessed by a gear icon

I suspect the lack of upgrade path was planned well before the Lumia 900 actually found a bit of traction with consumers. Wave goodbye to that momentum. That would be a big blow to Nokia. Does that drive their price down even lower until Mi

Yeah but an indie developer with $100k in revenue will turn their nose up at $10k of Android revenue.

The Win8Pro version has about the same 42 W-h battery size as in the new iPad. I doubt it can manage the same battery life, especially if it has to have vents.

It's the same with cameras, iPods, and everything else at a lot of retailers. They often aren't even charged. Why even have a real one on display then? I had a somewhat similar experience with the Apple Store though. I wanted the 15" MacBoo

It's frustrating because ads don't work well for the users and parents often hate in-app-purchases. Really the best way to monetize a kid's app is to charge for it up-front. But that makes it hard to market. You want to get free downloads t

I've read that it's structurally pretty much the same as the existing MacBook Pro matte finish screen. As a matte user, I didn't realize it, but the glossy models have an extra pane of glass covering the entire display. The retina displays

So compete by doing something innovative on the phone hardware. Who was the first to have a self-portrait mirror on the back of the phone? (Palm I think.) Who had the first forward-facing camera on a phone? (Not sure.) Things like that sell
