The "no gas" part is big. I don't think many people realize how much they spend on gas to run errands. A quick run to Target for something is about a 10 mile round trip from my house or about $2 in gas for a typical minivan.

Also Aspartame. I know I have better focus without that junk in my system. Try it for 30 or 40 days and see.

My next phase of using XENIX unfortunately never happened. I ran some version of MINIX on 8088 hardware and would gladly have picked up XENIX if it were available sub-$100 back then. Instead I migrated to DESQview, which amazed me with what

XENIX was my first nix. Back around 1985 my high school had a Tandy TRS80 with the 68000 processor and 6-12 terminals. They used it to replace a Burroughs mini for the COBOL class. I just barely missed punching cards for the Burroughs and

I used to work in defense electronics and I'd see the huge boards where we hand-assembled mil-spec wiring harnesses. I don't want to say they were easy but it was surprisingly low tech as far as measurement, lacing, etc. https:&#

This. I've held essentially both of those jobs at 100-500 person startups and it was hard not to travel. My problems were that it was usually to destinations I didn't care about and that I'd end up working 10-12+ hours a day

5. Start the Y axis at zero, not some arbitrary number to enhance the deltas. A 2% increase looks huge if your Y only covers 99% to 103%.

Google Helpouts? https://helpouts.google.com/home It's not trivial to get started, but my mom did medical transcription, mostly from home, for years. My brother and I even did it for a while.

I used to type an equivalent of this into C64s in stores. I even had a few of these printed out. It does tend to have a lot of short loops but sometimes you get an amazingly complex path for such a simple method.

Love it. Actually sitting next to my own "battery box" - a wheeled backpack with a 55 amp-hour AGM (lead acid) battery and inverter. I think I can get 3 work days out of that, but it's a lot bigger than this. Great for taking

How about iOS just not showing banner / alert notifications if the user is actively interacting with the UI? If the screen's been touched in the last 30 or 60 seconds, wait until they're idle before popping up unrelated toast

It doesn't look like they were going to make their funding goal. I know that a lot of money comes in on the final 2-3 days, but unless they had a pile of friends and family ready to throw in, the projections don't look good. They

Or on Chromecast. I know - competitive blah blah blah - but it sucks as for us as customers. Amazon has no problem selling Chromecasts themselves, but they won't add support for them in their own apps?

It's been a few years since I've really had one, but corrupting or using up the stack space was the cause of a couple of cases of seemingly weird behavior in C.

The total storage is impressive enough, but what keeps amazing me is that today I toss around 4 gig files like they're nothing. Those are bigger than the entire disk array my medical imaging research lab had when I was a grad student.

I thought this article was going to be about Flappy Bird cloners. As soon as I saw articles about it, I knew I should write an ebook and sell source for a clone. I saw a few people doing exactly that. Wonder how well they did?

So removing the app from the store doesn't turn off the ad revenue unless he kills his ad account. Removing it could be kind of a shrewd way to boost downloads one last time before people move on.
