When they invent a computer that can write poetry or paint a painting or start a startup, I think your vision will have come true. Fortunately, I think we're still a long way away from computers that can do these things with the creativity

I don't think anyone would claim that there's no job that can't be done from home. However, are these things always necessarily blockers if someone really wants to work from home? I mean, I can access an iOS or android device from anywh

I think you're strawmanning Branson into saying something he isn't. Let me ask you this: why do you automatically assume that this decision rests with the organization to fit its needs? Don't a firm's workers also have a lot of different

I would assume that this module is using redis's pub/sub capabilities to push configuration out to django app servers whereas creating an extra_settings table would likely require polling.

I don't know about "recommended over" but it may perhaps be "a more advanced way to". It depends upon your needs. Lets say that you're running a service that has 20 servers running a Django app, and you want to be able to update the config

I've been through major fuckups before, and in all cases the team presents a united front - the company fucked up, not an individual You should consider yourself very lucky. Or very savvy at knowing which companies to avoid.

Nobody wants to? I don't believe that. I would believe that you don't want to, which is fine. But why must you state that in such moralistic and absolute terms?

I personally say that if someone wants to refer to themselves as a great programmer, and they have at least some reason to believe that, they should find people to work with who are willing to put up with their arrogance. Everyone has a

I think the problem is that it's somewhat difficult to set a monetary value on the value of abstract concepts such as morals and ethics more than anything else. Either way, it sounds like we agree that there's a social contract that may cau

I don't see what you're saying. No one credible would say that people don't deserve to be paid for their work. However, there's a proper way to go about getting that payment. Defacing their website is not the answer. Without even gettin

I thought the "conventional wisdom" was that serif fonts were best for print, while sans-serif fonts were best for computer screens. Honestly, I've never heard anyone claim that serif fonts were all-around more readable.
