At night most people sleep so you don't need as much bread, and in case you do get hungry you can just eat the other brand that costs 1$. The "Dunkelflaute" is extremely rare [0]. 0: https://de.wikipedia.org/w

The current _green_ minister of the economy actually had them running longer than the previous conservative government had planned them to, due to the russian gas crisis. Due to them being phased out there are essentially no spare parts, pe

It seems that you haven't checked out the reference, because during the same time renewables became 2x cheaper than Nuclear at it's best, and 4x cheaper than Nuclear is right now. If you still buy the same brand of 4$ bread made f

I'm not sure if this should be flagged because it is obviously a free energy scam. Or if it's relevant to hn, BECAUSE it's an obvious scam with educational (and entertainment) value to enterpreneurial folks.

Teenage Engineerings design language is so unique, that it is deeply intertwined with their brand. That is a pretty rare thing, only Apple and (Rams) Braun come to mind, and I think TE is the most extreme of them. Because their design langu

While I'm a huge fan of immutable persistent datastructures, I don't think that they are a neccesity. And linked lists with reference counting are really easy to do, and don't have any leaks if you don't allow cons cell

Unlike LLVM, control flow is actually structured, no arbitrary jumps, functions, tables, real harvard separation of code and data. The restriction to only number types, is more a byproduct of trying to keep the 1.0 spec as mvp as possible,

The target I set in my example was 100% Renewables. No carbon is not enough for zero carbon? Btw the EU wants 80% renewables by 2050, that includes coal guzzlers like poland. Germany wants 100% renewables by 2035. So you're barking at

This is the energy generated. Every euro spend on nuclear is a euro not spend on something that's giving you 2-3x as much energy generated. Rewewables have been called "infeasible" at 5%, at 25% at 50%, now we're at 60%.
