They also famously manufacture the most stable and performant network cards, wifi card, thunderbolt controllers, etc. And provide drivers for Linux. Plenty of components for quivalents of which Avahi struggles with on MacBooks.

Yeah, they insist on that and then write long blog posts on how they have to reverse engineer basic things which have been contributed by other manufacturers to linux kernel directly.

No MacBook runs for 27 hours even if it says so in spec sheet. My 16" doesn't come close to apple claims. (Did we really forget how inflated Apple battery claims really are?)

nVidia has provided feature parity for their GPUs between Windows and Linux for longer than even fglrx was a thing. Just because they don't give you all their source on command doesn't mean they weren't supporting Linux for d

Meanwhile in a neighbouring conversation thread people are attacking Van Der Leyen as she's at fault for democratic member states torpedoing the good approach. Apparently it's undemocratic when elected governments of their countri

Funny how this questioning of democracy never shows up in topics about USA, UK or any other country - it's always EU that gets assaulted by sudden political theorists despite mirroring pretty much every other democracy on the planet.
