We absolutely have an artificial housing supply shortage, that is induced by homeowners loving 15%+ year over year housing market increases and not wanting the undesirables to move in or be able to afford housing in the first place. It woul

What if it turns out the COVID did come from a lab. Will it still be “hate mongering” the “others” then? Or do we start embargo if the PRC? The left likes to call anything they don’t want to talk about “hate” or “racist” these days. This us

Monetization could be selling training data to big Amazon sellers on sentiment analysis of products. Or they just start whitelisting products, kinda like adblock does the "acceptable ads" we now have acceptable garbageproducts.

Agreed. 2 of my friends dads growing up successfully grew/sold weed back when it was illegal. Noone went to jail, but there was never any mention of how they got money.

I’m tempted to make a bunch of honeypot accounts just to see how Orwellian and/or gameable their system is. What will trigger it? Fan pages to Trump/Qanon? Antivaxxer propaganda? The German federal police paper on how to clandest

It’s possible that there were great intentions all around and the COVID leak was a horrible accident. It’s also possible that a PRC agency or individual decided to take advantage of the situation and leak it to try and stick it to the Unit

This is kinda cool. Needs a 144hz display though. That would be the killer feature to differentiate between the switch.

IF millennials only have a 100k net worth at 40 there is no way that they will be able to retire at 65. Hello to working until one dies.

There would be political backlash. But there’s political backlash right now with this program because it’s not universal. If a ubi program is universal that means the wealthy can’t complain that the poor are the only one being it.

Would it not have been easier to just choose people at random from California’s population? Then it would have been actually universal.

This is welfare, not UBI as it is only going to pregnant women and those transitioning out of foster-care. IMO this will taint the ubi experiment overall. Universal means Bill gates and Bezos also receive their $1000/mo…

We have already realized that it is unprofitable to go to war. What would happen if the USA and PRC China got into a hot war over the ROC Taiwan? That would destroy the economy. Much easier to just insult one another and play games with cu
