Making music is usually not a job. You're making your own intellectual property and sometimes you're successful in selling it. Should we subsidize other kinds of unsuccessful businesses too?

You can. It takes some drugs, but you can. It's not uncommon for people to die because of dehydration at parties (taking stuff like extasis, etc). Regular users of methamphetamines also have this problem - they just don't realize

The actual physical process of your body using the water once you ingest it is not much different, sure. But you can choose not to drink (and die some days later). A cloud can't choose not to rain.

Yes, you want to work, you want to have a cup of coffee. You may not like it, but you decided to do it and then executed a very complex series of steps to accomplish the goal. You're not a cloud, working/drinking is not an inevita

Please name one other sentient, human-equivalent intelligent species. Animals are awesome and I am indeed amazed by how smart some of the species are. Not a single one is near human level, though, and won't be for millions of years, if

Speaking for central EU schools, there is no such capacity and the teachers sometimes join in the bullying too, and pretty often they ignore it when it's the popular children doing it. It's also very hard to deal with it if you ha

Space is very irradiated, and direct sunlight is radiation itself. Anything you add there will be a drop in the ocean. Atmosphere is not sufficient to resolve space radiation, you need a magnetosphere.

I don't own a Lamborghini, which is why a Toyota - a car that I could afford - is more valuable to me. Even if I could afford a Lamborghini, I'd not drive it because I'd be afraid I'll crash it, and it doesn't carry

It's most likely because of the actual runtime size of the model. All the open models are sized for consumer-grade devices, and thus 10x-100x smaller than whatever OpenAI runs (probably around 100+ GB in VRAM, maybe even some multiples

I tried them all, and continue trying when new things come out. No open model is capable of even remotely approaching the capabilities of GPT-3 or ChatGPT. Even if you had an equivalent trained model, running it would require enormous hardw

Because that's how it actually works. It generates the text token by token and you're seeing it live. GPT-3 Lab does the same, you can see when it gets slower/faster.
