I saw that movie "Friends with benefits", which made the East-West divide out to be a big deal. Is it, though?

I am an introvert male and one book that really helped me be assertive, certain, spontaneous, and happy in the social arena is "No more Mr Nice Guy" by Robert Glover. Highly recommended! http://www.amazon.com/No-More-Mr-Nice-Guy/dp/0762415

Has anyone here checked out Ramit Sethi's paid materials on freelancing? Were they any good? I am a fan of what he gives away for free: https://www.odesk.com/blog/2011/04/5-techniques-to-double-yo...

I don't know if I would call Google evil per se. Paternalistic and cavalier about invading people's personal space? Yes. Evil? Hmmm, I think that cheapens the word somehow.

I'd be interested in hearing what a (non-kooky) fringe scientist like Seth Roberts has to say on ADD. It always seemed weird to me that huge amounts of people should be taking Speed on a daily basis. Has there been any research into treatin

The real tragedy is that MMORPGs are better than real life for many people. Personally, I try to view my life as an RPG. Ie levelling up, acquiring awesome loot, raiding with my loyal guild mates, etc. Fun life analogy.

If anything, the idle minds belong to those who are constantly tired out and distracted by their work. Freeing people from this onus would mean a lot of more thought-cycles spent on important problems. Here's another good read: http://www.
