In my experience, the title 'Data Scientist' has become to mean data analyst at most companies, meaning working with Excel, Tableau, and SQL. Maybe R if you're lucky. Companies doing ML/AI will usually have a small team

They should put a tiny led that turns on whenever the camera is on, like in their macbooks. Would also be useful for notifications, which is a feature implemented on many android phones.

You would be surprised. Even basic stats questions like those are great for filtering out people who don’t have a clue about data science and the extent of their abilities is using a library such as sklearn.
