Considering how may people still have 8GB/16GB phones, I doubt it. On iOS sometimes you have to delete apps, especially ones that build up large caches like Facebook.

A simple approach would be to use OpenCV and use something like Haar Cascades to detect the number of faces entering (assuming they are always visible). Or try experimenting with convolutional neural networks.
