I hope it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone - LLMs don't really "think".

So does iOS, but this is a different feature than what we’re discussing here. Since Android 11, Google copied the iOS model except Android is a bit more permissive and so you get a bit less privacy out of the box.

Interoperability mainly - if you want to deep link into a specific app or show a list of apps to open. These days we have more modern and privacy protecting APIs for making content available to the system or other apps… but that doesn’t sto

Yes indeed, the limit is 50 which is of course enough to fully profile "regular people" who only have a handful of apps. Also don't forget, Meta/Google/TikTok/WhateverPalantir are updated weekly which means the

You mean the made up idea of immigration as a problem? Sure. What Brits probably want more is to rejoin the EU, get back some leverage on the world scene and dig themselves our of the brexit hole

LinkedIn is right there for “career updates”. Nobody really knows or cares about Mr Jumper there. Congrats on his new role in converting humanity’s achievements into slop.

It’s funny how exciting Apple Pay was when introduced, only Apple pulled the lock-everyone-in card and now we’re all using QRcodes.

> how corrupted elites are The commission is defined by councils and policy from each member state. Many member states send their right wing nuts so there is a bigger picture than just "corrupt".

The movie M3GAN 2.0 had the exact same plot twist. The kid in the movie even explains outloud what the bot had to do to deal with the limitation. So in other words, since 2025, even teens know this "sandboxing the LLM by layering promp

Not to mention OpenAI/Anthropic’s newly found appetite for keeping data (made public with Fable but we don’t know what actually happens there anyway). There is so much role play going on for people to convince themselves that any of th

So Apple built a feature that’s not good enough to use in a “competitive market” and now wants to wiggle their way out by blaming the very laws designed to protect people from shady corps. I think the DMA is working just fine. It’s not like

All it takes is one announcement that the US is cutting on efforts to understand future climate disasters for that “influence” to disappear. You’re right that it’s all policy making and that’s why you’re supposed to elect competent politici

Regardless of your stance on AI, we shouldn’t normalise tracking of this magnitude at all. Some safety guardrails for security and IP protection - fine, most tools have that builtin. Anything beyond that is abuse, plain and simple.

It was totally predictable, unfortunately. At least in the EU it’s quite illegal and even if a car maker slips something in, GDPR is always there so one can request a copy and have it deleted. Wish the regulation was even stricter though.
