This shit is so utterly unacceptable and yet there will be no significant mass behind protests against it. Why won’t you think of the children?

Oh that’s a very good point I hadn’t thought of. I kinda like the idea of MDMing my own phone. Will look into it when I get time. Thanks.

This is not true at all. Software engineering is about solving problems. Are you not solving problems with existing libraries?

I keep hearing about tarsnap - why? It doesn’t seem to have anything new and costs more than the alternatives.

Looks good. I use ansible to automate WireGuard setup between my nodes (n=5, m=5, m being personal devices such as phones, iPad etc and n being servers) and it works well. Can’t automate the part where I’ve to manually scan a QR code for ph

Since we’re being anecdotal here, I’ve > 5 seagate drives, one that’s more than 12 years old that hasn’t failed on me.

Why tarsnap when wasabi or backblaze would be significantly cheaper? You can just encrypt by yourselves anyway. Also I run my own personal infra and here’s what I do: * treat servers as cattle, not pets. This is really important. Have manda

Lifted from the Wikipedia article: Yggdrasil Linux/GNU/X, or LGX (pronounced igg-drah-sill) Don’t need to be a language nerd to understand that.

Terrible article - rehashed old news with a new title and even though it’s on “control.com” has no mentions of what said advanced control techniques are. Atleast it has pictures.

I'd say a higher end DAC/amp would consider it. My Benchmark devices (which nwavguy uses as a reference to build his O2 and ODAC) does it the right way.

We’ve been in a bubble for a while and everyone predicts a crash every other day. The question is: are you going to not make hay while the sun shines because the weather forecast is unpredictable?

Examples? I get plenty of work done on apple hardware and refuse any other devices for mission critical applications (daily driver devices are all Apple, because I know they’ll work, without me spending a whole day configuring it).

The control systems behavior is less interesting to me (yes it could be windup or many other reasons for oscillation) than why the (u?)kf behaved this way. The single frame could have caused a time slip for the rest of the flight but usuall
