The problem with the word "Christians" is that it is a very vague term. For baptists, the term would include the likes MLK and Jimmy Carter but also the Westboro church (which is irrelevantly small, but gets a lot of publicity). I

NOx emissions are tricky. They're created by high temperatures (the reaction is endothermic). Conversely, the hotter the engine runs the more efficient it is. To a first approximation NOx is inversely related to CO2 emissions and l

The artificial scarcity argument is interesting, but I don't think it applies here. I'm not proposing paying a third party to send me email. You'd be paying me for my scarse resource - my time and inbox space

Love it. But seriously, does it still fail if I have a local filter were I strongly prioritize emails of ppl who show up on the BC ledger? If ppl in high tech start doing this to lower their own email burden, I can envision normal business

You're assuming people want to be contacted by people in their address list :D For me there's an annoying aunt who periodically send the latest get-mad-at-this email. Or, how many times do we receive a mass email from friends who

A few years (almost two decades!!!) when the filters weren't as good I read a proposal to make an email system that charges $0.01 to the sender. Spammers would be bankrupt. It was difficult to implement and up against an already entren

To disconnect I got a blackberry curve. Still has email and wifi feathering if I need it. Other than that it sucks and I love it. I might replace it with a "tomorrow m5" phone; a feature phone the size of four stacked credit cards

Snowden files, 2013-2014. The nastiest example is probably hacking into petrobrass, the oil company of a third world country. Industrial spying on a third world country? That's like punching a cripple.
