Even if we don't consider the difference in data structures here, they use wildly different algorithms. Numpy does all the matrix calculations by outsourcing it to BLAS[1] routines that are a mix of C/Assembly, just like the answers detail.

Why is there so much content on Haskell coming out of Microsoft Research? I've seen multiple Haskell papers out of them and I think they're the initial developers on cloud haskell as well? Does MS have any technology related to Haskell at a

I've always found old-style letterpress businesscards beautiful (actually letterpress print in general), but it seems hard to find. Does anyone know a good place for letterpress businesscards?

I'm not really familiar with what an application server is (even less what makes it enterprise-grade). What is the typical use-case for this or TorqueBox?

There are three things I find annoying by this game. I shouldn't be driving a car if I don't have money for it. I should sell the car and always take bus, since later in the game it says I have that option. I had to choose if I should stay

If this could become the centralized way to handle packages for Sublime Text like npm has become for Node I think it would be a big step forwards towards Sublime Text replacing TextMate. Maybe I've just not kept up to date with what goes on

I'm not sure what the point of living off the coast of SF is if you can't go in to land now and then. The whole point of being in SF is the networking possibilities, not some magical sphere of influence that surrounds the area. If you still

I'm more interested in ad-spam than this kind of botnet fraud spam. For instance, if I built a twitter bot replying to anyone saying "iPad" with a link, then the page at the end of that link was absolutely filled with ads. How much money wo
